From the People Who Have Been Here
Siriporn Phromma
Lat Phrao, Bangkok
"I had been putting off thinking about my pension for years — I found the whole subject intimidating. The introductory course made it feel much more approachable. The printed guide was particularly useful, and I still have it on my desk."

Wichai Chumpolsup
On Nut, Bangkok
"The six-week course was well organised. Each session built on the previous one rather than jumping around. I appreciated that the facilitator took questions seriously without making me feel like I should already know the answers."

Nattharika Klinsawat
Thonburi, Bangkok
"I did the ten-week programme and found it genuinely useful. The healthcare section was eye-opening — costs I had never thought to calculate. The pacing was exactly right: no week felt rushed, and there was always time to ask about the parts that were less clear."

Apinya Tangtrongchit
Chatuchak, Bangkok
"I was hesitant at first — I had tried financial seminars before and always left more confused. Tara Finance was completely different. The small group meant I could ask the same question twice without embarrassment, which I needed."

Prasong Srisuk
Nonthaburi
"Good content. I did the six-week course and would likely return for the longer one eventually. The planning notebook was helpful for organising the ideas between sessions. The midway check-in was also something I appreciated — it helped me see what I had actually taken in."

Malai Rattanasombat
Phaya Thai, Bangkok
"What I valued most was that nobody tried to sell me anything. I have been to other workshops where the whole point seemed to be steering you toward a particular product. Here the focus was genuinely on understanding, which is what I came for."

Case Studies
Three Learners, Three Different Starting Points
These stories illustrate how different people have used Tara Finance courses to move forward in their own way.
Khun Pattama, 47
Reading the Seasons
Where she started
Pattama had savings in a standard bank account and a vague awareness that she should be doing more with them, but she did not know where to begin or which questions to even ask.
What the course gave her
Three calm sessions that explained the difference between savings account types, how interest rates work in practice, and how to think about monthly budgeting in a Thai household.
What changed
Within two months of completing the course, she had moved part of her savings to a fixed deposit with a better rate and begun tracking her spending for the first time. A modest but real shift.
Khun Chaiwat, 53
The Whole Calendar Programme
Where he started
Chaiwat had a provident fund through his employer but had never opened the annual statements. Retirement felt distant until a health scare in 2024 made him think more carefully about the years ahead.
What the course gave him
Ten weeks working through pension structures, healthcare cost projections, and how to think about supporting his mother and younger sister simultaneously without depleting his own savings.
What changed
He now reads his annual provident fund statements and understands what they contain. He has also consulted a licensed advisor — something the course encouraged and he had previously avoided.
Khun Orawan, 44
Planning by the Year → Whole Calendar
Where she started
Orawan ran a small catering business and kept her finances in her head. She had some money set aside but no system for how it related to the seasons of her business year.
What the courses gave her
She completed both the six-week and ten-week programmes over one year. The seasonal planning framework was particularly useful for a business with high and low periods across the Thai calendar.
What changed
Her business now has a separate savings account for slow months, and she plans her personal savings around the same annual rhythm. She describes it as feeling less reactive and more settled.
